We aim to create an environment where students take responsibility for their learning and innovation journey while also creating a framework for enhanced team cohesion and engagement. Because the program is sequential and fast paced and highly collaborative, we place a strong emphasis on attendance, team participation, and timely completion of assignments. However, we do not want to be overly compliance-oriented with assignment grades because most of the assignments are designed to be a part of the development process for your product. We expect you to be scrappy and ambitious and get the work done by the deadlines provided.

Students can achieve a B grade (equivalent to an 84) through completing, on time, 90% of the assignments meeting basic expectations and meeting attendance and participation expectations. Many assignments are given a completion grade and on-time submission is therefore critical, unless you are given an extension. Participation is also critical given the collaborative, interactive, iterative nature of the development journey.

To achieve an A in this course, students must exceed the basic expectations for a set of assignments that are evaluated on a three-level scale: below expectations (C grade), meets expectations (B grade), exceeds expectations (A grade).
